Synaesthesia

Synaesthesia is one of the most powerful linguistic devices that a descriptive text can make use in order to reach full vividness. From Ullman's linguistic analysis of synaesthesia we know that this tendency to combine and crystallise various sensory domanis in one is a common feature of all literary ages (Don Enrique Alcaraz, class notes, 2004)
